Smile Brilliant Review: Do Home Teeth Whitening Kits Really Work?

Say cheese! Who doesn’t want a smile flashing pearly white teeth? I know I do. Honestly, for years I have been very self-conscious about the color of my teeth. So when Smile Brilliant reached out to see if I would do product review of their customized teeth whitening kit I was thrilled. Well, before I dove into the process, I decided to do a little research of their product first. I was beyond thrilled to see their product is vegan and animal-cruelty free. My Smile Brilliant Review

The Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening Kit

Inside your teeth whitening kit you will receive the following:

• Two impression trays
• 3-Catalyst and base pastes
• 3-Whitening and desensitizing gels
• Instruction guides
• Informational card and paid-postage envelope

Making Your Impressions

To make your impressions you will mix a base and catalyst together until it blends into a dark blue paste. If you mess up, it is okay. In your package your receive additional base and catalysts.

Before the whitening process begins, you first need to create your dental impressions. Smile Brilliant provided a very thorough step-by-step guide, so no need discuss all the details.

Once you have your paste, insert into the dental trays and will begin making your dental impressions. Not going to lie, there will be significant drooling during this process. Keep a towel handy so you don’t leak all over your home.

When you have completed, place your impressions into the provided paid envelope to receive your highly customized trays.

Beginning The Teeth Whitening Process

Within a week, if your dental impressions were completed correctly, you will receive your trays. Now the whitening process can begin! If not, don’t worry, I failed my first attempt. They will inform you via mail with new trays to begin the process again.

Before applying your gel, you need to brush your teeth without any toothpaste then floss. You will then apply the whitening gel in a thin line on your trays. The gel comes in a syringe that can provide between 3-4 applications. Insert your trays and leave in for 45-minutes to 3-hours. How long you keep them in depends on you. During this time, no eating or drinking is allowed.

Now, after your whitening gel has sit for your preferred time, brush your teeth. This time grab that toothpaste girl and rinse out your trays, we’re not done with them yet. Next, apply the desensitizing gel as you did with the whitening to your trays and let it sit for 15-minutes. Avoid any eating or drinking for at least 30-minutes after.

My Results And Thoughts

Seriously my expectations were low period. I didn’t think any at home teeth whitening kit could improve the color of my teeth, especially, with my bad teeth staining habits. Smile Brilliant surprised me with the results I received. I didn’t even stop drinking my coffee or wine.

PROS:

• Customer service was exceptional any questions or concerns were rapidly answered.
• The tray creation process was super simple. Directions provided by Smile Brilliant were clear and extremely thorough.
• The custom trays fit snug so you can continue your normal activities during the whitening process.
• The customized trays are barely noticeable so you can leave the house with them. You just might sound a little funky speaking.
• I observed highly positive results, along with others fairly quickly.

CONS:

• Honestly, the first teeth whitening sessions were very painful, which is expected from research I did. My gums were burning! However, after reaching out to customer service, I was informed to rub coconut oil on my gums prior to whitening. This made a huge difference in reducing the pain during the whitening process. The pain ceased after about 2-weeks of whitening, just as they mentioned.
• Another con, is just not being able to eat or drink anything for awhile.

Overall, I highly recommend this product. Honestly, I didn’t think I would see results, but my teeth became a few shades lighter, which is huge for me! Smile Brilliant’s at home teeth whitening kit is super simple, results are quick, and the cost is relatively cheap for a whitening product.
